Facebook (META) has started to develop new and easy payment methods for Instagram. The company announced a feature that would please the sellers with the increase in Instagram shopping. Here are the details about Instagram’s new payments feature.
Instagram will allow users to pay via DMs
Today, Mark Zuckerberg announced that Meta is launching a new payment method for Instagram, called “payments in chat.” With this feature, shoppers in the U.S will be able to pay for the products via direct messages. Users also can ask questions to sellers about their orders.
On Instagram, buyers either had to buy from the sellers’ website or trust them to send the product. However, this feature lets users pay in safely and fast. Of course, this new Instagram payment feature will also be better for the shop owner. Now, let’s check how to use that feature.
How to use Instagram payments via DM?
Zuckerberg announced, “You can now buy products from small businesses and track your order in chat on Instagram in the U.S” in the post. You can send a direct message to the small seller to start using the new payment feature. In the same chat, you can pay for your orders, track your orders, and ask questions about the products.
An official screenshot shared by Meta shows that customers decide on the products and choose them in the chat part. Then, the user creates a request and taps the “Pay” button to end the process. They can also check the review in the chat part with details.
